Progressive Farmer Making Way in the Future Through Food Processing.

I’m Gurpiar Singh from Bhagi Wander village of Bathinda. I have done M.Sc. in Horticulture and now I’m actively involved in agriculture activities. I have 6 acres of land and I mainly grow Wheat, Paddy, and Cotton on it. For household purpose I also grow seasonal vegetables on small scale. I’m very much influenced with the food processing industry and in future I want to process my produce myself, so that I can market it at a good price.

Currently I’m living in my village, with my father, mother and sister. My father also helps me in farming and always encourage me towards modern farming.

In the future I’m planning to invest in Polyhouse and food processing technology.
Farmer Message:
Currently two things are very much important to preserve nature and make it habitable for the future and that is conserve water by using it properly and organic farming. The other message that I want to convey to the farmers is that they should do some allied activities like beekeeping or dairy farming along with agriculture to generate better income.
